Aluminium Manganese (AlMn) Master Alloy is available in AlMn10, AlMn20, and AlMn30 grades, or can be customised to meet specific manganese content requirements. It is widely used to add manganese to aluminium alloys.
Manganese serves as a solution-strengthening element, refining grains and enhancing strength, toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Direct addition of pure manganese to molten aluminium is inefficient due to differences in melting point and density, which cause segregation. Using AlMn master alloy ensures uniform distribution, stable performance, and precise composition control during alloying.
