Chromium Tablets (Cr AlTab) are alloying additives used for adjusting chromium content in aluminium alloys, serving as an efficient alternative to aluminium-chromium master alloys. They are available in Cr70Al, Cr75Al, Cr80Al, Cr70Flux, Cr75Flux, and Cr80Flux grades, with chromium content of 70%, 75%, or 80%.
Each tablet is a compact mixture of chromium and aluminium powder and/or sodium-free flux. The flux removes oxide films from powder or sponge particles, ensuring rapid dissolution, higher recovery, and better efficiency when added to molten aluminium.
